Stars Come Out For The SeriousFun Children’s Gala
On Thursday the 3rd of November a star-studded line up of VIP guests graced The Roundhouse for the SeriousFun Children’s Network London Gala 2016 – a wonderful evening in honour of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, the charity set up by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman. We were honoured to have the privilege to work on the event, alongside an inspiring host of supporters who ensured the night was a stunning success.
Hosted by Paul’s youngest daughter Clea Newman, a glittering array of high profile attendees including Jude Law, KT Tunstall, Aidan Gillen, Natalie Pinkham, Cel Spellman, Marcus and Jane Wareing, Craig McGinley, Annabel Scholey, Catherine Steadman, Alistair Guy and Laura Pradelska enjoyed an inspiring, uplifting and fun-filled evening with heartfelt performances by the SeriousFun Campers and special appearances by a host of London’s most celebrated film, television and music personalities.
British Academy Award winning actor Jude Law was one of the VIP guests who took part in the show, performing alongside the kids who jumped with joy as they took selfies, included him in their pre-show huddle and shared lots of laughs both on and off the stage.
To top off a night of stellar performances, Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall rocked out an incredible set, performing hits including ‘Black Horse and The Cherry Tree’, ‘Maybe it’s a Good Thing’ and ‘Suddenly I See’, calling up the SeriousFun Campers to the stage to join her – a glowing highlight of the evening.
The finale of the night came from the true superstars of the show, the Campers themselves who performed an amazing rendition of Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ and Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ – getting all 500 plus guests up on their feet and dancing along.
A beautiful night filled with heartfelt stories, amazing performances and a whole lot of love and laughter, we have been truly inspired by the work of SeriousFun both on and off the stage and can’t wait to learn the stories of the children and parents whose lives they continue to better the world over.
